The following items were discussed at the regular monthly meeting of the Stratford Town Council.
Snow Clearing Contract for Town Owned Properties
Council approved a resolution to award snow removal for Town of Stratford owned properties for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons to MacRae's Backhoe and Trucking based on satisfactory performance and the option to extend the contract for an additional two years as part of the previous tender process.
Snow Clearing Contract for Sidewalks, Trails and Walkways
Council approved a resolution to award snow removal for Town of Stratford sidewalks, trails and walkways for the 2016-17 and 2017-18 seasons to MacRae's Backhoe and Trucking based on satisfactory performance and the option to extend the contract for an additional two years as part of the previous tender process.
Transit Bus Purchase
Council approved a resolution to purchase 10 refurbished buses from the City of Calgary as party to an agreement with the City of Charlottetown, Town of Cornwall and Trius Transit to operate a transit service in the three municipalities. The share of Stratford's cost is $38,700.
