The following items were discussed at the regular monthly meeting of the Stratford Town Council held on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.
Sidewalk Extension Tender Awarded
A tender was awarded to Island Coastal Services Ltd. to complete a sidewalk and bike lane extension on the Georgetown Road, with work beginning immediately. The tender, in the amount of $688,528, was the lowest received for the project.
Results Matter Strategic Plan Renewal
The Town of Stratford has adopted a strategic performance management plan known as
Results Matter. Each council renews and updates the plan to reflect their priorities for their four-year term of office. The updated plan, running 2019-2023, was adopted by resolution at the council meeting however work has already begun on the plan as the renewal was delayed while the KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) were determined. The KPI’s allow staff and council to evaluate the plan as it moves forward.
November Council Meeting
The November Stratford Town Council meeting will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 4:30pm due to Remembrance Day.
