The following items were discussed at the special council meeting of the Stratford Town Council held on Wednesday, May 22, 2024.
FCM Board of Directors
A resolution was approved endorsing Mayor Steve Ogden to stand for election on the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) Board of Directors for the period July 2024 and ending in June 2025. If successfully elected, Stratford Town Council assumes all costs associated with Mayor Steve Ogden’s attendance at FCM Board of Directors meetings.
Sale of Lot on Community Campus
Council approved a resolution permitting the sale of Campus Lot #1 to the Province of PEI for the high school property based on the terms and conditions set forth in the Agreement of Purchase and Sale, and by resolution authorize the Town’s Mayor and Chief Administrative Officer to execute any further actions to complete the sale.
