The Town of Stratford is seeking applications from qualified individuals for an exciting new position. Reporting to the Director of Planning, Development and Heritage, the GIS Technician will be responsible for the provision of planning and development services for the Town; provide a robust knowledge base to staff throughout the organization on GIS and mapping systems operations; and assist in undertaking current and long-range planning processes involving the application of specialized knowledge and skills in the collection, analysis, and interpretation of economic, physical, social, environmental, and other data for municipal studies, programs, and projects.

A post secondary degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geomatics, Spatial Analysis, Geography, Architecture, or Landscape Architecture is required, along with 3-5 years of experience in GIS and drafting. The salary range for the position is $55,984.50 to $64,876.50 annually. The deadline to apply is 12:00 noon on Friday, October 25, 2024.
