For Immediate Release: April 9, 2026The following items were discussed at the regular monthly meeting of the Stratford Town Council held on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Resolution Approved
An application to renew resolution PH025-2023 granting preliminary approval to SD017-23, an application to subdivide PID 529297 (approx. 47,350 ft² in total area), into 2 single detached dwelling lots within the Low Density (R1) Zone was approved. Preliminary approval is valid for a period of three years.
Wellness Centre Design Services Awarded
Acre Architects Inc. has been awarded, by resolution, the Design and Contract Administration Services for the Wellness Centre project. Acre Architects Inc. received the highest score from the review committee and submitted a total price for the design and contract administration services of $4,475,000.00 (HST excluded), which is within the range expected for the services.
Appointment of Municipal Election Officials
Elections PEI, through the appointment of Tim Garrity as Chief Municipal Election Official and Stephanie Thorpe as Deputy Chief Municipal Election Official, will oversee the Town of Stratford’s municipal election in November 2026.
