Official Plan Review

The Official Plan is a legal document which provides guidance for future development in the community. Stratford is reviewing their Official Plan and will be collaborating with residents and stakeholders for the development of the Official Plan. 

We invite all residents and stakeholders to share their ideas through our new online community engagement tool: OP Review Online. We have also created a paper copy of this tool. Please contact the Planning Department at 569-6255 to get your copy.

Stratford Housing Demand Study
The Town of Stratford received the final report from Stantec Consulting on the forecast housing needs. The report will allow the town to plan for the anticipated doubling of its’ housing stock in the next twenty years and to better respond to market demands. “In our efforts to build the best community possible, we must first have a good snapshot of future housing demand and trends,” says Mayor of Stratford David Dunphy. “We can now develop a good plan with our residents to meet the demand and we can look at ways to ensure that seniors and young families can afford to live in Stratford.”
