December 14, 2022 Stratford Town Council Meeting Summary

The following items were discussed at the regular monthly meeting of the Stratford Town Council held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

Council Meeting Schedule

A resolution approving the 2023 meeting schedule for Stratford Town Council was approved. The meetings will take place on the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 4:30pm at 234 Shakespeare Drive in Council Chambers.

Committee Member Appointments

Council approved by resolution the committee members appointments for the term December 1, 2022 through November 30, 2024. Mayor Ogden also announced the committee chairs and vice-chairs which are as follows:

Steve Ogden, Mayor: Chair – Accountability and Engagement
Vice-Chair: Planning, Development and Heritage
Steve Gallant, Deputy Mayor: Chair – Infrastructure
Vice-Chair – Safety Services
Jill Chandler: Chair – Recreation, Culture and Events
Vice-Chair – Infrastructure
Gordie Cox: Chair – Sustainability
Vice-Chair – Recreation, Culture and Events
Ron Dowling: Chair – Finance and Technology
Vice-Chair – Sustainability
Jody Jackson: Chair – Safety Services
Vice-Chair – Accountability and Engagement
Jeff MacDonald: Chair – Planning, Development and Heritage
Vice-Chair – Finance and Technology

Signatory Request Policy Approved

Council approved a resolution brought forward from the Sustainability Committee which is intended to streamline the process for receiving requests for the Town of Stratford to sign onto causes, services and support organizations.
