Stratford Public Library Summer Program 2010

Internet access is available now and wireless is coming soon. Everyone is welcome to become a library member including summer residents. All you need is proof of address to fill out an application.

Check out the new online databases available through the Public Library Service homepage at
www.library.pe.ca

The new data bases include the Student Resource Centre, Canadian Edition, Global Road Warrior and A to Z Maps Online as well as Tumblebooks (a wonderful web site for children’s reading and games).

TD Summer Reading Club 2010

The title of this year’s summer reading club is Destination Jungle. The Friends of Stratford Library will be hiring a summer student again this year through the Jobs for Youth Program and we will be having a great time with animal noses, safaris and other jungle fun. Every summer children can improve their reading skills and reduce summer learning loss while having fun at the same time. Register at any public library late in June and receive a poster, activity book and stickers free. Record minutes spent reading at home and attend daily programming such as Wednesday
night movie night, or drop in when convenient.

Let’s try to beat last year’s amount of minutes read and recorded. Further details are available at the library.
