Property Tax Rates

The Municipal Real Property Tax Rate in the Town of Stratford for non-commercial property is $0.44 per $100.00 of assessed value.  The Provincial Real Property Tax owing for non-commercial property in the Town of Stratford is calculated at $1.00 per $100.00 of assessed value. The total municipal and provincial Real Property Tax for a residence in Stratford is $1.44 per $100.00 value; in other words, a $100,000 home is assessed a tax rate of $1,440.00 per year.

The Municipal Commercial Real Property Tax Rate is $0.99 per $100.00 assessed value, when this is combined with the Provincial Real Property Tax Rate $1.49, the combined rate is then $2.49 per $100.00.

Sewer and Water Service Rates

Waste Watch Fees

Island Waste Management Corporation (IWMC) is the provincial crown corporation that administers and provides solid waste management services throughout Prince Edward Island. This fee applies to all non-commercial property that is within and outside a municipality. The current annual  Residential Waste Watch levy is $195. Payment Options

Property Taxes can be paid at Access PEI offices, charlered banks, and at the Provincial Treasury in the Jones Buiilding, 95 Rochford Street in Charlottetown.

Stratford Sewer and Water Utility payments may be made at any chartered bank, and in Stratford Town Hall, at 234 Shakespeare Drive. At Town Hall, payments can be made with Cash, Cheque, Visa, Mastercard, Debit Card, or automatic payment arrangement to Credit Cards can be set up.
