The composition and terms of reference for the Economic Development Committee shall be as follows:



Composition


    
    
  •  a chair who shall be a member of Council;  a vice-chair who shall be a member of Council;
    • 
    
  •  up to two (2) additional members who shall be members of  Council; and
    • 
    
  •  at least three (3) but not more than five (5) “at large" members who shall not be members of Council but who shall be residents of the Town.
    • 



Terms of Reference


    
    
  •  to stimulate economic growth in the Town in accordance with the Official Plan.
    • 
    
  •  to develop development strategies.
    • 
    
  •  to co-operate with agencies, individuals, corporations, and    governments.
    • 
    
  •  to promote the Town as a residential and commercial location.
    • 
    
  •  to provide incentives.
    • 
    
  •  infrastructure.
    • 
    
  •  to liaise with Planning & Heritage Committee, Finance Committee, Stratford Utility Corporation and the Stratford & Area Business Association.
    • 
    
  •   such other duties as determined by the Mayor on advice of Council.
